I’ve held a pre-sale copy of “The Stuff of Legend” trade and it is AWESOME! You can pre-order it here from Amazon or from pretty much any book store since Random House is distributing it.

Worst “House” Ever

taubhouse
Peter Jacobson is an OK enough actor, but we most definitely didn’t need a Taub centric “House.” I’m one of those people who enjoy the show for it’s character stuff, instead of the procedural mystery of the week, so an episode focusing on wussy Taub and his bitchy wife is plain boring. What happened? The season started off so strong and intense and now it’s moving along at a snail pace.

“Being Erica” Rocks

Just finished season 2 of “Being Erica” and I just HAD to write about it. I’m in total love with the Canadian show and nervously waiting to hear if it will be picked up for a third season.

The premise is simple: In every episode, Erica goes back in time to re-live and change a regret she has. The changes she makes stick and she can’t do big things, like kill Hitler or save someone from death, but the point isn’t about “fixing things.” It’s about Erica learning from her past mistakes.

In tone it’s basically like an old school WB show. Think “Felicity” with time travel (Yes I know they did time travel on the final season of “Felicity” but this is like 10 times better.). The show has a warm romantic comedy type vibe but at the same time there is on-going continuity and by the end of the second season some solid mythos. If you’re a geek it’s a great show to watch with a girlfriend who normally doesn’t like sci-fi or fantasy.

If you’re interested in checking the show out, Season 1 is on iTunes and you you can watch full episodes online for free (the episodes are listed out of order so if you watch online make sure you check an episode guide first).

I just finished watching season 4 of “Skins” last week and am super excited that today they announced that the show was renewed for two more seasons. The downside is that like the reboot between season 2 and 3 seasons 5 and 6 will have an all new cast.

Friday Flash is a weekly ritual in which writers compose flash fiction of less than 1000 words, post to their blogs, & link to them.

Jenny was duck-taped to a chair and had a gun pressed against her pony tail, but she wasn’t really concerned about it. People tried to kill her all the time. Her real fears were squished and causing pain to surge though her stomach, literally. Jenny had to poop. (Read on …)

“LOST” Panel at the Paley Festival

Filed under: Lost, TV — Scott King at 7:56 am on Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Here is the best write-up so far I’ve seen of the Paley Festival’s “Lost” panel and here is a sample of some of the interesting stuff you can find at the link:

  • 7:53 PM – Damon reveals they’ll explain what the “Hurleybird” is in the final episodes. Note to self: look up what “Hurleybird” is.
  • 7:55 PM – Both Damon and Carlton freely admit Walt would still be part of the show if it were possible for Malcolm David Kelley not to age. That being said, they’re “working on a way to try and bring it all back before ‘Lost’ is all said and done.”
  • 7:57 PM – Paul asks why Ben says Jack isn’t on Jacob’s list in “I Do” when he’s on the list in Jacob’s cave. “Whether or not that actually came from Jacob or came from Ben pretending that he had some relationship with Jacob that he didn’t have – that’s always been my interpretation. He wants Jack Shepherd to perform the surgery on him so everything that’s happening in that season is sort of filtered through whether or not Ben is telling the truth or not.”

There is a ton more in the article so if you’re a hardcore “LOST” fan make sure you check it out.

I’ve already talked about how much I like “Mercy,” even though there is a 95% chance it will get canceled, and now that James Van Der Beek has joined the cast it has jumped to become one of my favorite new shows of the season.

Clark’s Secret Isn’t Secret

It just dawned on me, but on “Smallville,” EVERY series regular knows Clark’s secret except for Lois. It’s really weird since back in the day nobody knew.
