It?s a no brainer that Sony wants to continue the Spider-Man franchise, but Tobey Maquire?s Kristen Dunst?s and Sam Rami?s contracts only have them signed through the third movie. Which explains why rumors are already spreading that the major stars aren?t interested in doing more movies.

Maquire spoke to Starpulse News:

This might be a good place to stop – I am not tied contractually to any more Spider-Man movies. I am not completely closed to the idea of another one if it made sense but I would say the odds were in favor of this being the last one.

Of course, if any of the stars were interested in doing more movies they wouldn?t admit it. Instead they would tell they press they were done so that way Sony would give them a whole crapload of money.
