Pop Candy pointed out this press release where NBC announced that “30 Rock” has been picked up for a second season.

NBC will renew its critically acclaimed comedy “30 Rock” (returning to the network’s lineup on Thursday, April 5, with a special supersized episode at 8:40 p.m. – 9:20 p.m. ET) for the 2007-08 season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. The series will settle into its new time period of 9:00 – 9:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 12 for the remaining episods.

I only watched the first two episodes of the show and I just couldn’t stand it. The humor felt forced and I didn’t find it funny.? And I love “The Office” “Scrubs” and “Arrested Development” type stuff so I mean I like weird humor. So maybe “30 Rock” just didn’t get good until a few episodes in. I’ll have to try it again on DVD.
