Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers

You KNOW you want to check in your favorite ex-interns to find out what they’ll be up to this season. So keep reading after the break to find out…

The season will open with Meredith and Cristina returning from Cristina’s honey moon two weeks after the season finale. We’ll learn that Burke officially resigned and that he’s long gone (though expect his mother to show up in the second episode of the season to get some family heirlooms Burke gave to Cristina).

This is the season of interns and there is a whole army of new ones. The only important ones to be pointing out though are Meredith’s sister Lexi who will be Christina’s intern and George who ends up being Meredith’s intern! Also don’t think that Lexi and Derek will be hooking up in the near future. He is seriously devoted to Meredith and she’ll be busy shaking up with Alex.

Grizzie, the unholy union of George and Izzie is done… sorta. The two ex-lover will not be getting it on any time in the near future. They are over. However, the other interns and Callie (George’s wife) will soon learn about the affair and even though the affair is over its after-affects will be felt for many many episodes.

In an interview with TV Guide Shonda Rhimes broke down and shared some spoilers of her own:

“I want to be clear that Derek loves Meredith,” [Shonda Rhimes] said as if to put the debate to rest once and for all. “Derek loves Meredith more than anything and I can’t imagine Derek going anyplace else other than Meredith.”

So have no fear… after the shitty season finale where Meredith basically broke up with Derek, things will be getting better.

Bailey will start off the season by being very upset with The Chief for choosing Callie for Chief Resident. In fact she’ll struggle to figure out where exactly she fits in the hospital’s new hierarchy.
