Cleveland from Above

The above picture is one of Cleveland that I took from a plane. I have several other pics after the break.

This is one of my favorite pictures that I took. I’m not going to point out where… but in this photo you can see Sarah’s apartment. Not only that but you can make out her car and then that big lake is the one she walks around almost every day.

This pic was taken from right in front of Sarah’s place looking up at the sky at about where I was when I took the picture from the air.

It was weird flying over mountains because they didn’t look like mountains. Mountains looked like just ripples. The kind of ripples you see in bed sheets. I was expecting these epic snow capped crests and all I got was ripples! Of course these are the Appalachian Mountains, not the Rockies.

The thick line tracking across the mountains on the left is the Pennsylvania turnpike. It’s weird to think that the last time I visited Sarah I drove on it.

I know it may not seem like much, but see how the atmosphere curves and how there is an almost brownish tint to the curve? Well what you are barely seeing is Canada on the other side of Lake Erie. It’s the first time I’ve seen Canda!

So you’ve finally seen my homeland! Maybe one day we can take a trip there? And this time it’s my turn to say sorry for not calling you for so long…sorry.

What happened? I busted my butt to try and call you this summer and make time. After that night you came out with me and Sarah you’d said you’d call and I never heard from you again.

[...] Eventually they decided that I actually was an editor. I don’t know how or why. Because one second they were giving me hell and then a few minutes later they acted like they had known all along. For some reason I sort of suspected they must of done a google search or something. Of course by the time they let me go I had missed my flight. Southwest put me on another one and I eventually made it to Cleveland (pics I took on the plane can be seen here). [...]

Picture #2 looks like Lower Shaker Lake to me. Do I win a prize? Is it cheating that I drive past it five days a week for work?
