The new rumor about “Smallville” is that this will be it’s final year because Tom Welling’s contract is up. I say thats garbage. The show is having some of it’s best ratings in years and there is no way that The CW will let it get away. It’s one of the few shows on the network that actually makes money.
What will most likely happen is what happened last summer when Allison Mack’s contract ran out. There were a whole bunch of rumors and interviews about her leaving the show until The CW ponied up a butt-load of money. The same thing will happen with Welling. He doesn’t have a movie career to fall back on, so he needs the show just as much as it needs him.
True, but maybe it should end while it’s on top. However, it’s better than ever so I don’t know if CW can afford losing a good show.
TOM MUST EITHER RETURN FOR 2 MORE SEASONS OR PUT THE SHOW AWAY, AND TAKE ON THE ROLE ON THE BIG SCREEN IN A SET OF SPIN OFF MOVIES!

zac efron is a short goof he cant stand in for welling. nothin against him he just aint fit the description of clark kent.
whatever. the show has had a awesome run, maybe its time to end it. the only reason it was so good was also cuz micheal rosembaum and tom welling were a good duo. ehh.
I hope he stays, wouldn’t be the same.. wouldn’t watch it without him in it.
