I’ve been a long time Xbox gamer and now that I have a Mac I’ve been trying to think of some ways to combine the two. So here is a guide on how the two can work in union. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

I wouldn’t go as far as saying this week’s episode is a filler episode, but the only real purpose it served was filling in things we pretty much had already figured out. Also I’m very disappointed that it’s now been two episodes in a row without Sawyer. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

The final episode of “Scrubs” will air may 6th and will be an hour long. Of course if ABC renews the show then the finale will become a series finale and Zach Braff’s last episode.
Jackson signs 9 Picture Deal with Marvel
February 25th, 2009 | by Scott King
Remember all that hub-bub about Samuel Jackson possibly dropping out of “Iron Man 2?” Well it was all a shame. Nothing but a stupid publicity stunt so that Jackson can score a NINE picture deal with Marvel. That means he’ll be showing up in “Iron Man 2,” “Captain America,” “Thor,” “The Avengers,” “S.H.I.E.L.D.” and god knows what else

I doubt you miss the show, but if you did then the Mother Nature Network has them online.

Someone wrote a very long essay doing a break down of all the Pixars film and how there aren’t any lead female characters. The idea seems crazy but when you stop and think about it, there really aren’t any lead female characters. The writer goes on to mention how women in Pixar movies end up being helpers, love interest, and moral compasses to the male.
Whenever a new Pixar movie comes out, I wrestle with the same frustration: Pixar’s gender problem. While Disney’s long history of antipathy toward mothers and the problematic popularity of the Disney Princess line are well-traveled territory for feminist critiques, Pixar’s gender problem often slips under the radar. The Pixar M.O. is (somewhat) subtler than the old your-stepmom-is-a-witch tropes of Disney past. Instead, Pixar’s continued failure to posit female characters as the central protagonists in their stories contributes to the idea that male is neutral and female is particular.
Square Enix settles against Counterfeit Sword Makers
February 25th, 2009 | by Scott King
Square Enix sent out a press release saying they settled a court case against two guys in Georgia who were making unlicensed Final Fantasy Swords. Part of the agreement included a formal apology from the two men:
We regret having sold unauthorized replica merchandise based on the FINAL FANTASY franchise to our customers. We would not have begun importing and selling these swords if we knew that Square Enix would respond so aggressively to stop us. We will never make this mistake again.
CW Renews “Smallville” Supernatural” “Gossip Girl” “One Tree Hill” and “90210″
February 25th, 2009 | by Scott King
The CW announced yesterday that they are renewing a huge list of shows. “Smallville,” “Supernatural,” “Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill,” and “902190″ will be back next year while “America’s Next Top Model” is safe for two more cycles. As for the rest of CW’s shows: “Privileged,” “The Game,” “Reaper,” and “Everyone hates Chris,” things aren’t looking good.

After months and months of holding out, Michael Cera has finally joined the “Arrested Development” movie. Cera was the last hold out since everyone else (Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, Jeffrey Tambor and David Cross,) have already signed contracts to return. As for when the movie may happen, the earliest it would start production is late fall… but hey I don’t mind waiting if it means more Bluth family fun.
