“Avatar Golf” hit Xbox Live last week and for only 400 ms points it’s a must buy!

As the name implies, you get to play “Avatar Golf” as your avatar. It’s a nice touch and fun, specially with the new avatar marketplace. Even cooler is that the game allows you to use your regular emote, similar to how “1 vs 100″ does.
However where the game really shines is in it’s gameplay. It’s basic, but in a good way. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with crazy thumb-stick-swings, “Avatar Golf” does golf the right way: power meters. Plus the physics make sense!
What truly makes “Avatar Golf” a must have is the course designer mode. Why EA hasn’t included such a feature in their Tiger Woods franchise is beyond me. As we’ve seen with Forge Mode on “Halo 3,” being able to build maps adds serious lifetime to a multiplayer game.
Not only can you build maps, adding whatever features you like, but you can share them with your friends. So to have such a powerful tool with a simple interface in an “indie game” is astounding. More than anything, the game’s designer deserves a round of applause for deciding to include the feature.
