Freezing Rain!

Freezing rain caused the power to go out, 10 minutes after the start of “LOST.” It’s still not back & to make matters worse we supposed to be hit by a second blizzard. This week sucks.

The weather hit 50. It was sunny and there was no wind. I figured it was a perfect time to kayak… of course I didn’t realize Corker’s Creek was frozen over. (Read on …)

Fall is in full swing so I figured now would be a good time to dump the the rest of my summer travel photos. Above is a stream at Patapsco Valley State Park.

Kayaked on Barren Creek outside of Mardela Springs and was shocked to see so many lilly buds.

The knobby roots of bald cypress are the way they are so that when the river rises it can still breath.

Did a hike at Cromwell Valley Park right after the sun rose and the fog was so thick that once I got on the trail I could hardly see anything.

What I miss most about kayaking on the Assawoman Bay is being able to have an excuse to type “Assawoman.”

I should’ve put something in this photo for scale, but that mushroom is nearly the size of my face!

This is one of the beautiful fields surrounding Jerusalem Village. An actual Civil War battle took place here!
