I tried desperately to warn you. “Stuff of Legend” has unofficially sold out. I say “unofficially” cause I’m not sure how we are formally announcing it. If you’re trying to jump on the bandwagon of AWESOME and are looking for a copy, local comic shops have them. Your best bet is to call around and call fast. Another option is to order a Boogeyman Edition (2nd printing):
The Boogeyman edition showcases Charles Paul Wilson III original Stuff of Legend artwork in this limited black and white penciled edition. Additionally this version of the book has all of the original gore and violence of the series before some of it was toned down. These books are limited to 500 copies and each is numbered.
The cover to the Boogeyman edition is a sketch variant of the picture above.

It’s true, stores across the country are selling out of “Stuff of Legend.” If you don’t want a reprint you better hurry and call your local comic shop!

Today is the day! “Stuff of Legend” book one hits the shelves. So even if you didn’t pre-order head down to your local comic shop and pick up a copy. If they are sold out, then make them order one for you. This book is that good. Don’t believe me? Check out the preview.

ComiXology, a digital comic book reader and iPhone app, now has some of our Th3rd World books. To see us in the reader you can go here or to get it from iTunes go here.

Just got word that Th3rd World will be at the Philly Comic Convention next weekend.

There is a great “Stuff of Legend” interview with Mike Raicht at CBR.
“A little boy gets kidnapped by the Boogeyman, and his little toys head out to save him,” co-writer Mike Raicht told CBR of the book’s premise. “They head into a world called The Dark which the Boogeyman controls. When they do that, they end up fighting a war against the Boogeyman and the discarded toys that have joined the Boogeyman’s army.”
If you haven’t already done so, make sure you tell your LCBS to order the book!

“SuperFogeys” got a great write-up and review. If you still haven’t tried out the Th3rd World web comic you really should.
With his strip, The Superfogeys, we are offered a glimpse into the life of those fantastic adventurers once their spirits and/or flesh have been made weak. What this entails is great fun, good laughs, and a cast of characters that are at once ridiculous and pitiable, extraordinary and plain, and full of life in their own particular ways.
The write-up talks about the characters, long term story arcs, writing, the Th3rd World website, and just about everything in between. I’m really happy for Brock ’cause “SuperFogeys” definitely needs wider recognition.

My work trip looks like it will be running longer than I originally thought, but I have a treat for you! If you head over to Newsarama you can read our Free Comic Book Day “Stuff of Legend” in its entirety.

Newsarama has a great interview with Brock about “SuperFogeys” if you’ve never tried out the Th3rd World web comic you really should.
Brock Heasley: What if superheroes aged? More to the point, where do old super-folk go when it’s time to retire and fade away? I know what you’re saying — “Duh. Florida.” And you’re right! They go to Valhalla, Home for the Supertired. Hero and villain living side-by-side, trapped in their old age and, in some cases, their own immobility. But, really, it’s not the old age that interests me as much as the shared history of the characters and the fact that, for really the first time in their lives, they’re all in the same place. And they can’t leave. It’s kind of like high school in that way, a dynamic I try to be keep in mind when crafting the stories.
The best part of the series is that it’s not a parody and it has an ongoing continuity.

How did your Free Comic Book Day go? I was at Captain Blu Hen’s Comics in Newark Delware along with my publisher Mike Devito. We were joined by Charles Paul Wilson III, the artist for our FCBD book “Stuff of Legend.” It was a crazy day and I got alot of video footage so hopefully I’ll have something edited and posted by the end of the week.
