Clark’s Secret Isn’t Secret

It just dawned on me, but on “Smallville,” EVERY series regular knows Clark’s secret except for Lois. It’s really weird since back in the day nobody knew.

It just dawned on me, but on “Smallville,” EVERY series regular knows Clark’s secret except for Lois. It’s really weird since back in the day nobody knew.

Make sure you watch tonight’s episode of “Smallville” very carefully! “DAD!,” my graphic novel, as well as several other Th3rd World books have a brief cameo.

So Lois jumped a year into the future, had sex with future Clark, went back to the present, had her memory fractured, then mind linked with present day Clark so he could have the memory, and then had her memory completely wiped. Yep, makes perfect sense.

For a show that had pretty much become unwatchable, I’m enjoying the new romantic comedy aspects of “Smallville.” If they could just dump the whole freak-of-the-week thing, I might actually start liking it again.

As the promos suggested, the producers of “Smallville” fail to realize that Clark Kent doesn’t work as The Dark Knight.

The CW sent out a press release today, announcing their fall premier dates. The only big news is that “Gossip Girl” and “One Tree Hill” are switching time slots.

The CW is switching things up. “Smallville” is moving to Fridays and in its place will air the new “Vampire Diaries,” which is suposedly a major rip-off of “Twillight.”

The CW announced yesterday that they are renewing a huge list of shows. “Smallville,” “Supernatural,” “Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill,” and “902190″ will be back next year while “America’s Next Top Model” is safe for two more cycles. As for the rest of CW’s shows: “Privileged,” “The Game,” “Reaper,” and “Everyone hates Chris,” things aren’t looking good.

I’ll admit it. I’m a loyal viewer and once I commit to a show it’s very hard for me to stop watching it. Also, even if I hate a show I’ll still watch it if it is popular or feel I need to simply need to for pop-culture reasons. So in no particular order here are shows I watch but wish would get canceled so I wouldn’t have to watch:

The new rumor about “Smallville” is that this will be it’s final year because Tom Welling’s contract is up. I say thats garbage. The show is having some of it’s best ratings in years and there is no way that The CW will let it get away. It’s one of the few shows on the network that actually makes money.
What will most likely happen is what happened last summer when Allison Mack’s contract ran out. There were a whole bunch of rumors and interviews about her leaving the show until The CW ponied up a butt-load of money. The same thing will happen with Welling. He doesn’t have a movie career to fall back on, so he needs the show just as much as it needs him.

Just finished watching this week’s episode of “Smallville” which is a blatant sweeps stunt that tries to mimic the feel of “Cloverfeild.” Of course instead of a building-sized-monster tearing up NYC its of Doomsday tearing apart Chloe’s wedding. The editing and camera angles were just as annoying as they were in “Cloverfeild,” so at least in that regard the producers succeeded.
As to the episode itself, it was flat out frustrating. First of all… I honestly don’t get why Chloe’s wedding would be in the Kent barn. That’s just weird. Second, the whole mind-wipe from a week before is very present. In fact it was so aggravating that I had to force myself to not fast forward through the episode.
On the plus side… at least it’s possible for viewers to follow the plot, unlike “Heroes” which stopped making sense a long time ago.

With Al Gough and Miles Millar (the original producers on Smallville) expect the “no flight no tights” rule to be broken. Specifically the part about flying.
Well she’ll be back for 5 episodes starting in November. Right in time for sweeps, what a weird coincidence. Making matters more complicated, her return will happen right around the time that a Clark/Lois romance starts to take off.
